Excursion to forest in Radunia Mountain
As part of the project, a group of students had field classes conducted with the Forester Mr. Andrzej Żygadło from Będkowice. He drew our attention to the diversity of the mountain’s stand, especially Douglas fir conifers. We saw trees attacked by the bark beetle due to the drought that has been affecting our region for several years. We felt the aroma typical of conifers. We were able to touch gametophytes and moss sporophytes. Part of the mountain is a reserve and has unique serpentine ferns. On the way, we passed the iconic ancient embankments. The work of a forester aroused our curiosity.
